Sweet Potato Hummus Recipe

You guys, I’m losing my mind here… This combination is one made in heaven!

Sweet potatoes + chickpeas? I meeeeaaaaaannnnn…. 

I’m not going to get some time wasted here so let’s jump straight into the recipe that you definitely NEED in your life.



One small sized sweet potato (which should be around 80-90g)

100g chickpeas (canned, rinsed and drained)

2 garlic cloves

1 tsp olive oil

1 tsp tahini

2 tbsp lemon juice

Spices: 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp chilli flakes (if you like it a little spicy), 1 tsp cumin



Bring some water to boil in a saucepan and add your sweet potato. It should take around 15 mins for it to soften. Check by putting a fork into it.

Once ready, set to the side and let it cool down. Peel the potato and cut it into chunks.

In a blender, add in the garlic cloves and the sweet potato. Give it a mix. Add in all other ingredients and give it a good mix. You might want to add some water to adjust its consistency.

And VOILA! The best hummus you’ll ever have is now ready!

Enjoy with pitta bread, roasted vegetables or anything you fancy 😉.

The Creamiest Avocado/Tahini Sauce

I have been literally OBSESSED with this recipe lately and any excuse to use it I’m up for it! This is the creamiest, most delicious, decadent, nutrient dense avocado sauce recipe you will ever try!



1/2 avocado 🥑

1 garlic clove

1 heaped tsp tahini sauce

3 tbsp milk

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp cumin

Handful of cilantro

15g parmesan cheese 🧀


Put everything in a food processor and blend until you get a creamy texture.

You might want to add some water for the right consistency.

And that’s literally it you guys! I put the sauce on sweet potato toasts  with some roasted chickpeas and spread the sauce on top – literally SO GOOD!

Red Pepper Hummous Recipe

There is no way you’re not already a fan of hummous! And if you’re not then this recipe will 100% convert you and hummous will be your religion – you’ll defo thank us later! Right let’s stop talking about how amazing it actually is and let’s get cooking.



1 red pepper

1 garlic clove

225g chickpeas

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp tahini

1 tbsp squeezed lemon juice

2 tbsp water

Spices: 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon chilli powder.


Start by grilling your red pepper.

In a food processor mix together the garlic clove, chickpeas, olive oil, the lemon juice, tahini and water to thin out.

Give it a good blend and add all the spices and the grilled red pepper and give it a last good mix.

Your hummous is ready to be enjoyed with literally everything you love! Of course we had it with our special FittyFries  😉.

Homemade Peanut Butter Recipe

So many of you guys asked for the peanut butter recipe! Peanut Butter can be incredibly high in calories and other useless ingredients when bought in supermarkets. Making it from scratch is easy, tasty and healthy!

FittyGalz are all about being healthy and cooking with natural ingredients so here is a recipe dedicated to this spread we all love 💕.


500g Unsalted and peeled peanuts

3 tbsp honey (or agave)

2 tbsp milk (or other milk alternative)

Start by putting the peanuts in the oven at 180• for 10mins.

Once they are roasted, put them in a blender and mix for 15 seconds.

Add 3 tablespoons of honey. Mix for 15 seconds again.

Add 2 tbsp milk and mix for 20 seconds!

Homemade Cottage Cheese – Healthy and Easy

Is there a better way to celebrate our 100th post on Instagram other than making homemade cheese? Making cottage cheese from scratch is so easy to make 🧀, you would know exactly what’s in it and control your calories 😍.

As you noticed from our previous posts, we used it instead of creme fraiche, bechamel or mascarpone 😋


👩‍🍳 Only 2 ingredients:
Whey milk (Leben)
Skimmed milk 🥛

Heat the skimmed milk and add the same quantity of Whey (Leben). Bring it to boil at low heat for 5 mins. As it starts to seperate turn the heat off.

Let it dry and put it in the fridge 😊.

Guacamole Recipe – Quick and Easy!

Are you having friends over? Or a chilled Mexican night with your loved ones? Then this easy Guacamole recipe is a great dip to have. Easy, healthy and only using natural ingredients!


2 ripe avocados

1 cut tomato

1 white onion (or red)

1 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 lemon


Mash the two avocados really well until you have a smooth paste, add in the tomatoes and onions and keep on mashing. Add in the salt and pepper to taste, you can also add some paprika. Add in the lemon juice at the end and mix everything together.

Little tip: 

To prevent the Avocado from browning put a slice of lemon on it, cover it with clingfilm making sure it is really tight and put it in the fridge.

Enjoy your dip cold and fresh.
