There are never too many ways to make banana bread! We love this recipe as it is so easy, so versatile and so put together! Banana bread is definitely a staple when it comes to healthy eating and let us introduce you to our Walnut banana bread with a healthy walnut frosting! So damn tasty! 😋 Also, possibly the best banana bread recipe we have made yet! Yep we said it !
Ingredients
- Wet ingredients
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
4 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp honey
- Dry ingredients
180g oat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 handful of walnuts
For the frosting
2 tbsp natural unsweetened yoghurt
1 handful of nuts
3 tbsp milk
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp honey
Method
Pre-heat your oven to 190°
In a bowl combine all your wet ingredients and stir well.
In another bowl combine all dry ingredients and stir well. Make a hole in the middle and add your wet mixture to the dry one.
Stir well until you get a dough.
Put in a greased tray and off to the oven it goes for 35 mins.
Make your frosting in the meantime. You will need to put all the ingredients from the frosting in a food processor and mix well until you have a thick consistency, it should only take about 2-3 mins.
Once your cake is ready and cooled, simply add your frosting on top and add some nuts on top. It is an absolute TREAT!
